Project description

Following the arrival of Storm Desmond in December 2015, large areas of Carlisle were flooded. The sewage treatment works did not escape the flood waters and the site was submerged under 1m of water.

As part of the clean-up effort, a large number of existing assets onsite needed to be refurbished or replaced. As part of this ongoing work, Plasticon UK Limited are happy to announce the contract award for the refurbishment of an existing odour control unit and the replacement of an existing unit. With air flow rates totalling in excess of 13,000 m3/hr and a short programme to get the site fully operational as soon as possible, Plasticon have been selected because of our directly employed fabrication and installation teams, allowing us to offer a flexible and responsive solution.
